Not only relaxing, salt baths also promote skin cell growth and improve our skin tone and texture.
Dead Sea salt is said to be of the highest quality and is best for therapeutic use such as:
- easing sore muscles
- providing relief for certain skin conditions
Himalayan Pink Salt – Rich in Magnesium, it relaxes and calms. Himalayan salt baths might be a good way to treat acne on hard-to-reach areas of the body where breakouts occur, such as the back or shoulders.
Epson Salt – another salt rich in Magnesium, reducing swelling and relieving aches. Effective for soothing skin and reducing irritation and itching.
Kaolin Clay -Is a gently and mild clay that detoxes and clean pores. Especially beneficial for those with sensitive skin.
Baking soda – relieve itchy skin and sunburns
Calendula – anti-fungal, antibacterial. For this blend I use Calendula from my garden, organically grown.
The blood orange essential oil has an intense zesty yet citrusy scent, perfect for relaxing in a nice warm bath
- Add 2-3 scoops into the muslin bag an place it into the bath tab water.
- Soak in the tub for 15 to 20 minutes or your desired time.
- When you finish your bath, dry off and apply a moisturizer to your skin.
